PL and lasing spectra (I)

These are the photoluminescence and lasing spectra from the cleaved edge of the sample.
Photon emission energy (as horizontal axis) and emission intensity (as vertical axis).
The temperature was 8.9 K.
We use optical pumping excitation by titanium sapphire laser pulses, this sharp lines (at 1.769 eV).
The optical excitation density is estimated as 9 times 10 to 11 per square centimeter per 1 mW, 1 pulse.

In the emission spectra, very sharp peaks due to the stimulated emission, or lasing was observed above 40 mW of pumping power (at 1.662 eV). The lasing photon energy was 1.662 eV.
