The polarization of QWR emission was parallel almost toward the horizontal direction.
The shape of our QWR is a little bit rectangular shape, so we expect that the dipole moment of heavy hole is polarized toward horizontal direction.
On the other hand, the lasing image was polarized toward Side-QW direction.
The origin of lasing is the higher order subband transition.
So we expect that the wave function of higher order subband spreads inside the side-QW structures, and the polarization became parallel to the side-QW direction.
